GLASS POLISHING

At Hidrosolution, we are certified professionals and we restore the original transparency of glass through polishing.

Although glass has a translucent surface (in glossy finishes), it is not exempt from stains that become impossible to remove through conventional cleaning methods and gradually affect its clarity. This is when the glass polishing process should be considered. It is important to be aware that as more time passes, the visibility deteriorates, making the glass appear neglected and dirty.

The areas that most affect its utilty are those that in contact with potable water, whether from irrigation systems, fountains, pools, or showers. The accumulation of alkaline substances and other minerals presentes in water, such as chlorine, salty air (from the sea), iron, and soap, are some of the causes of those annoying stains commonly known as “water spots”. They are difficult to remove if not treated in time.

When the glass can no longer be cleaned with common products, it’s time to restore it through a polishing process, which brings back its natural shine and transparency.

When polishing, the stained area is worn down in order to eliminate the marks. It is important to understand that glass surfaces are naturally rough, and after polishing, they are left exposed and more sensitive to dirt and stains. For this reason, after each polishing, we apply Nano Coating (our technology using nanotechnology particles) which seals the exposed surface and protects the glass for greater durability. Otherwise, in just a few months, the damage may become irreversible.

The Nano Coating technology is remarkable in this regard, as it not only seals the glass but also adds extra benefits, such as making cleaning easier and extending the utility of the treated surface.

Our Nano Coating technology uses Ultra Nano NG1010. It is a hyper-hydrophobic and dirt-repellent coating for glass surfaces, offering long-term effects (up to 5 years) with a single application. It modifies the surface at a molecular level, providing a lasting solution.
